The Christmas Assistance Programs are designed to provide Fairfield County residents with food baskets and gifts for Christmas. Gifts are provided for children age birth to 17 (in most cases) residing in the household.
To Qualify for Holiday Assistance Programs
- The household in which the family resides must be in Fairfield County.
- The household must meet the eligibility guidelines.
- The household must not receive duplication of services by another program for Christmas Assistance.
To Qualify for the Charity Newsies Christmas Food Box
Eligibility Guidelines
- Must be a resident of Fairfield County.
- There must be children, under 18, living in the household.
- For 2025, there are no income eligibility requirements — it is need based.
Required Documentation
- Photo ID, social security cards, or birth certificates for everyone (children and adults) living in the household.
- Proof of address.

To Qualify for Chelsea’s Christmas Program
Eligibility Guidelines
- Must be a resident of the Amanda Clearcreek School or Fire District.
- There must be children, under 18, living in the household.
- Income eligibility is 150% of the Federal Poverty Guideline (household of 4 is $48,225 annual income).
Required Documentation
- Photo ID, social security cards, or birth certificates for everyone (children and adults) living in the household.
- Proof of address.
Chelsea’s Christmas Application — available for households in the Amanda School or Fire District ONLY. Program is now closed. Applications can be picked up at the 2-1-1 office, 108 W. Main St., Lancaster.
