Applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Applications will not be accepted if you do not have all required information. Accepting applications on June 1, 2026. Appointments will only be scheduled on Saturday, July 25th.
Eligibility Guidelines
- Parents must be a resident of Fairfield County.
- Income limit for this program is 150% of the federal poverty guideline.
- For a family of 4 that is $48,225 annually, $4,018 monthly, or $927 weekly.
Instructions for Submitting an Application
We will be accepting applications for the 2026–2027 school year starting June 1, 2026. If you need assistance, please call 2-1-1.
- Obtain an application online, or pick one up in the lobby at 2-1-1, 108 West Main Street, Suite C, Lancaster.
- You must complete the application including income and expense information.
- If you have no income and/or expenses, please explain why in the comment section of the application.
- If you have expenses but no income, provide a written letter from the source that pays your expenses. For example, if a parent pays your expenses, submit a letter from them stating so.
- One application per household. If multiple families reside in the same household, complete one application for everyone; use a second application to list everyone if needed.
- We will call you if there are questions, so please leave a good number to reach you. If your number changes, you must let us know.
Submission — Required Documents
You must provide copies of the following documents with your application:
- Photo ID for the person applying.
- Photo ID or birth certificates for ALL adults and children living in the household.
- Proof of address – bill, bank statement, letter from SSA or JFS, etc.
- Proof of ALL household income – wages, social security, child support, military benefits, kinship benefits, cash assistance, etc.
- You do not need to submit copies of your expenses.
- Enrollment letter for all children entering Kindergarten.
Ways to submit your application:
- In office at 108 W. Main Street, Suite C, Lancaster during office hours, Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm.
- We will not be accepting applications via email or Facebook.
Notification: If any of your information is missing, we will be unable to process your application. We will attempt to call you at the number listed on your application. If we are unable to reach you, your application will not be processed.
